Inspired by the nature landscapes, Choy loves the solitude and peace these spaces invoke. Although his previous works were usually devoid of human figures to emphasize the seclusion of the landscape, he began inserting them as representations of the self for viewers to project themselves onto the figure surrounded by lush forestry.
